Rafael is a juvenile Hawaiian green sea turtle (honu) who was spotted in Lahaina and brought to our Honu Hospital.

His right front flipper (RFF), LFF, and RHF were all entangled in braided fishing line. His neck was also entangled, with a swivel still attached to the gear.

Unfortunately, his inuries did require amputation of his RFF, but he is recovering well and looking forward to being released soon!

Thanks to generous donors and adopters like you, another honu has the chance to heal and return to the ocean where they belong.

Our Honu Plushy Adoption Package includes:

• Personalized adoption certificate for your chosen patient

• Digital Hawaiian green sea turtle educational guide
