MOCMI runs a 24/7 Sea Turtle Stranding Hotline that receives calls from the public about sick, injured or stranded sea turtles on Maui. Once MOCMI receives a call about a turtle in distress, they dispatch members of their team to locate and treat the turtle. Sometimes the turtles are easily found, whereas other times it takes many tries.
